The big bang theory is the most popular theory in the astrophysics which deals with the continuous expansion of the universe.The big bang is referred to the cosmic blast that made the universe and the big bang theory refers to the growing or expanding of universe.To study this two great scientists drew 2 lines one 5 cm long and another 7 cm long.After 11 years observation was made and the 2 lines were measured once again.The first line was now 7 cm long and the second was now 9 cm long.This example proofs that everything in this universe is growing at an enormous rate.

You must be thinking that what initiated the big bang ? Actually there is no appropriate or single answer for this.The answer of this question lies in the question, what was there before everything ? The scientists on studying deep astronomy had estimated that a huge cosmic egg which was a single atom due to a reaction blasted 13.8 billion years ago with so powerful waves that are still travelling.It is expected that the blast produced plasma gas which  provides the waves energy to keep on travelling probably at a speed of more than light.

After the big bang a lot of space was created in the universe which was full of gases and the reaction of these gases resulted into the formation of the very first stars which either broke down to form new stars or new reactions took place and nebula's formed.Next great thin which happened was the formation of light,space-time and our mother earth which took place later on after the big bang.There is a misconception about the theory that it deals with the formation of the universe,no it only deals with the development of the universe.
